Cracking win for the reds. Those Paddys aren't wired up properly.

Spot on that. I was in both places the week before last, some of the folk we met on the west coast were barmy, but a brilliant laugh. People in Dublin seemed pretty dour on the whole. Probably because most of them were Polish or Russian. Or maybe it was more a reflection of my mood, having run out of boxer shorts, spent two days looking after a sick wife in a hotel full of very obnoxious French people, and finally managed to miss my flight home. Phoned Ryanair to try and sort out the mess. No chance for less than a grand. Asked for some sympathy, but was told they charge for that as well.

F.cking hell fire. Sorry to hear that mate.

First time I went to Mayo was for a wedding. Spent a week there. Went out the night before the wedding with the groom and ended up dancing along to rebellion songs at 4am supping treble brandies and ribena and being asked if I wanted to go salmon poaching. Fair to say I was struggling the next day.

Don't worry, I saw the funny side once I got back in time for the Man City game. The boat to Holyhead was nothing if not entertaining. My big, fat gypsy ferry.

Outside of the city centre its full of gyppos like l imagined, couldn't believe it fits its stereotype perfectly. And you're right about the city centre, more Polish than owt. Our hotel was 7 mile's north of the centre, chance to see more of Dublin when l caught the 42/43 bus that went around the estates. If l shut my eye's l thought l was on the Ings down Wombwell or in Donny. What a shithole.
