Seen him twice this week once at Gateway Plaza think he's got 1 of them flats then at HSBC in town. Hopefully will more of an affect on 1st team next season the lad does have the ability
So we've signed a player on decent brass to 'develop' in our reserves? Released on a free next summer.
I've been him play a few times and he's finding it hard at that level. He's got a problem with Work rate and closing down and the coaches are constantly on him for it. Also he's got a major problem with his right foot, he just will not use it. He get's in to positions and just does nothing with it because he's having to beat a defender three or four times sometimes. If they could add a right foot option to him he could be a very good player. Amazed that a player as been at Benfica and Liverpool for a long period's got such a technical deficiency.
Yeah i agree, but when this was brought up by Fired , about a different player admittedly, you said it did not matter that footballers could only kick with one foot! You said she should stop talking about football because women knew nothing about it! Now you agree with her. Strange world eh? The player in Fired`s question is an England International !!
Please tell me which player. Maybe it works for that player, it doesn't for Tony or it doesn't seem to. I can't think of any England players that are so limited on there weaker foot.
It does not matter which player it was, ALL professional players should be able to kick with either foot, but Beckham just cant use his left foot at all, bloody good with his right though !!
Thanks for the evaluation Hemsio. Excellent, so we can expect the two-footed Silva to break into the first team very soon and establish himself as an Oakwell favourite soon after. That is such a relief, I was worried he wouldn't make the grade. You Reds!
wouldnt know him from adam if i saw him, however i was having a coffee with the missus the other day in the coffee shop low side of the halifax, Costa i think its called ? anyway back to the point, whist sat there at the back of the cafe, 2 young reds players came in ( they had those black tracky training tops on) I didnt know who they were, one of them had a thick scouse accent though the other sounded a little more cultured with a softer scouse accent, and earwigging as you do ( cough) i heard him ( thick) complaing about not getting the chance to develop further as he was beeen overlooked for the first team squad, he continued, how can i develop if i keep being overlooked, if i dont figure in their plans im going to get my agent to sound coventry out i had the chance to go there and i know theyd be interested, i was speaking with them the other week. the second lad said yeah i know what you mean but do you reckon they would let you go. Let me go id just cancel my contract he replied will see what happens between now and end of season, cant see point of hanging around . Didnt catch anything else as the missus kicked off at me for ignoring her and added loud enough for the lads to hear ....come on drink up and lets go and stop listening to other peoples conversations. Needless to say they shut up gave me a funny stare. chance lost to hear more.
No, quite simply. he's been here now 7/8 month and still as the same problems. Maybe at first team level on a bigger pitch he might get more space and run into space and get one of one with defenders, Maybe but i don't know that for sure.
One will be John Rooney, can't think of another Scouser off the top of my head. I know Dagnall and McNulty are scouse but I'm guessing you'd recognise them. Maybe Silva's learnt the language & got a bit of scouse in him from his time at Liverpool. Wouldn't surprise me if Rooney is getting frustrated, people tell me he's done well for the under 21's yet he's never made the bench for the 1st team.
