    Nar then

Fanzines seem to be making a bit of a comeback at the minute - someone mentioned the old South Riding ones being uploaded online, any idea when that'll be done?

Been thinking over the weekend about looking into doing a new BFC one. Anyone fancy it?

Printing is so much cheaper nowadays and it could exist on-line.

When I can. I've kindly been lent them all and scanned them all in. Unfortunately the quality of reprographics used in the originals, many of the scans have been illegible and I'm in the throes of photoshopping and, where necessary, rescanning. Then they're all being compiled to downloadable PDF's and online e-magazines

It's been a much larger undertaking than I've envisaged and can only be done in my limited spare time. I am on it but will not be pushed on a time scale at the moment.

The South Riding, now that was a good fanzine in its day. I've still got about six of the issues boxed up somewhere in my loft.

You are as free to share it as I assume I am.
I had nothing to do with the original SR production and hold no copyright etc.
A person on here who was involved did say he'd be happy for me to do this some time ago, so I'm taking it as read.

I believe the first issue dates to Jan 1990

    Re: Ahem!

Fascinating stuff. I think that was my second full season going to every game in the ponty and I loved that team. The article about racism is a really unusual thing to have in a fanzine. The bit where it says "were these the same fans who saw us play Sheff Utd? I don't recall any racism"- is that sarcastic? I remember monkey chants and both real and inflatable bananas being thrown on the pitch at Deane and Agana that season.

Left a strong impression on my young mind and it's hard to look back upon. Does anyone else remember that?
