Does show just how out of touch the Don is from the fans? http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/barnsley/barnsley-reds-new-loan-bid-for-ryan-1-5525955
or it goes to show how a quiet day for news makes a total non story into something you feel the need post about “It’s something we could re-visit, but at the moment there’s nothing happening,” Rowing told The Star. so it might as well say " its something we might not re visit"
What a complete non-story that is! Journalism for the sale of writing if you ask me! Typical international break story!
I know The Don seems to upset fans at times, but people seem to go on as if he does it on purpose. He's help keep us in the Championship for the past few years on a shoestring budget compared to many other clubs. People keep having a go at him as though he is a saboteur who has sneaked in from one of our rivals.
Not all fans agree... The guys who sit round by me think he's a decent lad but not match fit. Got to agree. Technically looks good but faded in games. Was excited when I saw title of this one rowing tries to resign Ryan... Thought it was reference to shotton not played much for stoke recently. But doubt he we return
I know that a lot of people won't have noticed this but i've criticised Don quite a lot in the past (I know. I do it so subtly that it passes most people by) but I can't see anything wrong with that story at all. Don isn't saying 'i've forced the manager to sign this player' he's simply saying that we, as a club, may resign him for the rest of the season. In other words they asked if we were getting him back and Don answered saying quite clearly that there are no negotiations going on at the moment but the manager may decide to try next week to get him back. Personally I think that signing popular or unpopular players should be 100% down to the manager, not the managing director and that is exactly how it looks to be in this story. Next we'll be blaming the don for Bobby not playing very often.
The Don hasn't really said anything has he? It's just a politically correct, sat on the fence statement which he probably has to say. As for the player, he's not been our best loanee that's for sure but it's hard to make a true judgement on a player based on so few games. Not a player we need at the moment though (we never did really) - I'd send him back.
Not at all, no. It shows how in touch he is with the wishes of the manager and the push to retain our fabled Championship status.
