Hart should get better but don't think he's the best keeper at the moment - Terry, Gerrard, Lampard maybe when they were at their best. Rooney is barely in the top five strikers. Don't particularly like Ashley Cole but can't think of anyone else who is good at defending but also provides a good attacking threat - maybe Scott Golbourne but he isn't a Premier League player
Dunno, but it is the reason why we are not very good internationally. There are too many English players languishing in reserve teams and the Championship who will never reach their potential.
It's a double-edge sword I suppose, if it wasn't for the foreign influx then there wouldn't be so much global interest in our league and there would be less money for the clubs to be competitive in Europe. Plus there's the argument that if squads were predominantly English then the players wouldn't be as good as they wouldn't be learning from the best players in the world - not that I particularly agree with that view but they always say it on Talk Sport.
Spain... Majority in their league qualify for Spain. Germany ... Likewise. England... Majority qualify for other countries
That when they allow all Polish players to play for them and i'm sure most of Scotland league players can play for them, also Welsh irish.....
Re: Logically the left back would be... Good question.. Hart, Ferdinand, Gerrard, Wilshire and Lampard would be in with a shout I think. Could easily do without them though in that make believe squad.
Mrs C played netball for Poland when she was a teenager. She could have also played for Germany through family history and being from Gdansk/Danzig former disputed territories which at one time were part of Germany.
