Really, and I thought he chose to stick to a game plan that created little in chances and we conceded every time the opposition launched a ball into our box. Lest we forget he chose to alienate himself from the fans by chasing every criticism and the interviews he made were at best laughable and at worst atrocious.
Did you hear Flitcroft having a go at fans yesterday RE Wiseman? 'I'd like to get all the ones who knocked Wiseman into a room' or words to that effect. Diplomatic deafness.
Flitcrofts comments would be quite correct if anyone was actually knocking him for his current performances, but no-one is. Since he was recalled to the side he has played quite well particularly at right-back. My criticism of him prior to his recall stands. His current form is way beyond anything he has previously produced and long may that continue. He's actually showing some character which wasn't their before his recent recall. I won't take back any previous criticism of him because it was deserved, in the same way that the praise that is comming his way now is deserved.
He wants you (and me) in a room to have a chat then. He talked about development, patience, having L1/L2 players in the side etc.
Quality. I did. I think he's just as prone to say summat controversial as Keith was/is. Difference being, he's winning football matches.
Anthony Knockaert is a class player but like the rest of our squad, has lost all form. No reason as to why! Him and Ben Marshall normally provide all the creativity
How do you pronounce his surname? And thanks for the respectful comments, and good luck for the rest of the season. I like Leicester, it's just the setup/money etc I have issues with, but that's out of your hands.
I'd have a chat with him no problem. Development he says, then why make a developing player (who was struggling) the captain of the side? He was awful earlier this season and was continually selected, no other player was afforded this luxury that was a big gripe with me. Some of our players have been playing consistently to a good standard all season and is the norm for them. Anyway, he's in the side on merit and that can only be good news for us all.
I think that's the point - if you're going to develop players then you need to be patient. We have been with him & Dagnall particularly. Let's hope they us back now.
Thanks for replying Chris used to share lodgings with a Leicester lad called Chris Pople who studied Economics at UCE in Birmingham when Gerry Taggert was a cult hero at Barnsley and went on to great things for Leicester.
Is that what they were singing? I do them a disservice then because I thought it was "We want our money back" after 30 mins and thought how arrogant because they are losing.
Thanks for the kind words. The problem is that although we manage to get loads of possession, play well etc we can't convert the possession into goals enough. That's changed somewhat since Hill left but it's still an issue, the number of games I've come away from wondering how we didn't win! Credit to your boys though, looked good going forward but defensively seemed a shambled. Kasper looked decent, was impressed with how quickly he wanted to get play started again, very quick goalkicks, clearances etc that almost caught us out.
Looked good going forward? you sure? lol. We were poor most of the game and only looked better when Schlupp came on. Defensively i cant explain, we have the best record in the league but something has changed!!! We did miss our captain and leader Wes Morgan yesterday plus Whitbread isnt fit but no excuse for the rest. Keane was unusually average too
Thanks. Having seen you twice this season i thought you'd trouble us more in both games to be honest. Steele was tested more than he was at the King power yesterday. You really have a top keeper though in schmeichel who really impressed once again yesterday. I just like his all-round presence and that he seems such a leader on the field. A question i would like to ask. If you don't get promotion this season will there be a lot chances at Leicester in the summer to reduce the wage bill.... to meet the new criteria for the 2013/2014 season.
