Got to be honest, I love that we're singing different songs at long last (even though they're ripped off other clubs) but this does my head in.
I detested it at first, but now it makes me start laughing. Anything that gets the place bouncing like it did at Wednesday will do for me. There's far, far worse songs we sing.
As I say, power to those who sing it. Nice to see us mixing it up a bit, rather than rolling out the same old guff. But the song is meant to be sung about two players with the same surname. And it's annoying. I don't like the 3 Little Birds one either. But only because they're choosing to leave out most of the song, so it just sounds repetitive and ****. I may be getting old, though.
I love it And 3 Little Birds. Both songs seem to encapsulate the present, upbeat mood of our fans and help create a positive atmosphere, despite us being in a relegation battle. I doubt there's as much positivity amongst the supporters of the other clubs in the same predicament.
I don't fall out with the 3 Little Birds song. I don't buy in to this needing to sing the rest of the song - it gets everybody upbeat, people are behind it, and nobody in our division copies it to my knowledge. Not aimed at you, but I do feel people are moaning for moaning's sake. Fans are happy without acting like idiots, let 'em be.
With the 3 little birds song, the whole chorus is just: 'don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right. Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!' We don't need the rest, we're not a choir... I don't think anyone expects the chorus and all the versus too.
Haha. I'm not moaning. I find it good as I've said, that we've got some different songs, upbeat ones at that. And 3 Little Birds has been sung by loads of clubs. Youtube it. I just wish we could get together and create summat original. Our 3 main songs right now - * 3 Little Birds (missing the majority of lyrics) - sang by numerous clubs. * No Limits Variation - sang by other clubs (including Wednesday), with 2 players with the same surname. * We're The Red N White Army - sang by loads of clubs including the Blunts. I'm a miserable basterd tonight. My apologies.
I haven't been on this board long however it hasn't taken me long to pick up Whitey talks utter rubbish. 3 fantastic songs, all create a good vibe around Oakwell and Flicker himself has said he's buzzing off the 3 little birds chant. Long may it continue!
Great way to start your time on a forum, eh? Attack the biggest and baddest poster. You got balls, Son. You're in the gang.
With regards to 'We're the red and white army' when was the last time all 3 home stands of Oakwell were singing?
