Yes, we should all be grateful that after destroying the countries industrial heatland in an act of political vandalism people have been allowed to spend the rest of their lives subsisting on state benefits. Thanks to European money jobs have started to return, but its 25 years too late.
But they don't do that in the States, towns and cities die, jobs go and people leave for places where there are jobs, the same would happen here if we had a real right-wing government but the left is, the Conservative party is to the left of the U.S. Democratic Party because they don't "save" these places by subsidising their populations with benefits. The Conservatives may have been right-wing once, but then so were the Liberals and the Whigs compared to today where all the main parties are in the centre, and compared to other countries and to the past of this one, the Conservatives are centre-left. If the left continue to exaggerate about "evil far-right Tories destroying the poor" then they'll become like the boy who cried wolf and no-one will take anything they say seriously.
My best tip is to go out early. Drinks in Paris cost an arm and a leg, but nearly all the pubs and cafes around the Bastille area do happy hours where drinks are half price up until about 8 or 9 o'clock. So instead of paying 8 or 9 quid for a pint you're paying 4/4.50. They're called happy hours, but they're often longer. Often the pubs and cafes do their happy hours at different times so you can move from one to another. We always went for a few drinks before we went for a meal to take advantage of the happy hours.
Turkey min wage going next Then the tax payer (we) will subsidise the difference in some way - at the same time tax cut from 50-45% , not crying wolf just plain facts Do you work for Bernard Matthews ?
I can remember the last time working people (builders, plumbers, plasterers etc) in Barnsley were making good money, it was just before Labour opened the doors to millions of people from Central and Eastern Europe and wages went down.

What, they've cut tax to 5% ABOVE where it was for virtually all of Labour's 13 years in power? B@STARDS! Whilst putting plans in to increase the personal allowance to nearly 10k, up nearly 50% during the lifetime of the parliament, so that people on low wages pay vitually no tax, or no tax at all. B@STARDS!
What you mean the NHS under Tory admin won't do life saving operations due to costs but allow blatant conscription of the better off to private health stating that these treatments are not in reach of the NHS .it was treatment for all under the original labour doctrine but subsequent Tory premierships have undermined that conception behind curtains of course
tax cuts maybe but increased national insurance and pension contributions for some means pay cut plus the fact everything else so much more expensive - especially utility bills - gotta keep the shareholders happy! Who privatised those companies? Anybody remind me! Oh and a lay freeze for public sector workers - oh the joy!!
For now it is but the new rules the Tories have put in place favour very strongly private firms and we all know what drives them
Even kids pay more tax than they did.Have done since they increased VAT. I think they make up a fair number of people in the country
