Oh good, just the sort of news story that we want to see associated with our club. If true they are just idiots who should be ashamed of themselves and their behaviour.

Every club has them mate. The good news is they will be caught. CCTV on the trains, no escape.

I just don't know what it is about football that brings this ugly side out in some people.

As it been confirmed there's been trouble or is it people putting 2 & 2 together and getting 10? It's not only football fans that get drunk on a train and say a few naughty words. People can't wait to slate football fans a label them.....

I really hope it isn't true Rob, like you say it's not confirmed and could just be people jumping to inaccurate conclusions.

Regardless, its about time that such incidents were taken as serious as on planes. In the end you are in a confined space on public transport with no means of escape, any hassle should be treated the same.

Me and various friends travelled back on three different trains across the evening and saw no trouble whatsoever. Indeed Leeds, Barnsley and normal passengers were getting along nicely on our train especially. So let's not jump to the 'everyone is a hooligan' conclusion just yet.

Always the same though innit. With football it always gets blown out of proportion.

Well that's the issue with travelling by train for me. If you have groups of people who've been drinking all day, it's likely that when they're on the way home, being offered more alcohol, people will continue laughing and joking and perhaps swearing now and again. But because you're travelling with families and other passengers, obviously it becomes a major issue for some people. I will say though that on match days, the nuisance types on trains are very rarely drunk football fans, but arrogant, ignorant and quite horribley stuck up passnegers who sneer at the sight of anyone possibly laughing and joking.

Are they the ones who ask people to stop swearing in public ? count me in.

No not at all. Swearing in public places such as trains is totally unnecessary and I'd support anyone asking someone to refrain from doing so. I'm merely saying that football fans are not the only people who can be a nuisance, especially from past experiences.

There were half a dozen or so drunken Barnsley fans on way back from Man City game (via Sheffield). I was on same train with missus and young lad. Didn't feel at all threatened as we were coming from same game. But language was terrible considering regular travellers with kids were in same carriage.

One guy was obsessed with singing about Marlon being hung like a horse.

We travelled back on the 19:23 from kings cross, never saw any trouble. Leeds fans on our carriage. Our mates were on the 19:30 and they didn't see any trouble.

As I thought, a Barnsley fan seen sneezing and farting and next thing they've smashed the train up! Typical over dramatics as ever.

The thing that made it worse last night, was because of Leeds being in London it was a dry train on every train back up north after 19-30, as is the norm when they play in London. This ment that nearly all the pissed up idiots that normally sit on the train with 6 cans and a Burger King, to a man decided to sneak ether a bottle of wine/spirits on to the train, ( which to be honest is the exact executive decision i would expect from people that had been on the piss all day) this meaning they where drinking far more then they normally would or are capable of it got a bit out of hand at one stage on the 20-00 with some young Leeds fans and a few of our lot, but some big Leeds meat heads came down and sorted it out, A Leeds fan in our coach insisted on singing Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Engelbert Humperdinck, & Bing Crosby, songs from the minute he got on until the minute he got off, but apart from that it was fine
