    Don't they typically spend ~20 minutes in total on the ice during a game, rotating frequently during the game? Not to denigrate NHL players, but it's not the same thing.

    You are tired of excuses about fatigue and they have only been complaining about it for a couple of weeks. Just imagine how tired you would be if they had been complaining about fatigue for the whole season.

    I've still got a flatter stomach than he had when he played in that game against Forest. Seriously, it's completely acceptable for paid atheletes not to be in top physical condition.

    I wonder how many of you have played football at any decent level because if you had you'd understand why fitness gets tough to keep up in a fixture pileup.

    I was referring to Iain Hume when his belly was hanging over his shorts as EN mentioned earlier.

    I don't doubt that the players are in top physical condition. That's why I don't buy into the argument that they are fatigued after playing 70 hours of football since August.

    but its not just 70 hours is it, theres training and cup games.

    Having played at league level i know how physically and mentally demanding the games is

    fatigue is only mentioned when teams are losing,they arnt bothered if they've won.

    and more often than not buy a manager or coach than any player, its a deflecting tactic, doesnt boost morale if the manger says we were rubbish does it

    The seventy hours includes the cup games.

    Surely the training is the bit that helps you get fit??

    Utter crap. Get your fukcing shorts on pal and get down to Derby match. We can all then have a laugh. You have no idea what fitness is required for a full match. Saunders complaining he has 5 players injured with schedule of playing two matches a week. Perkins was prone to hamstring trouble when he first came. Can you tell me how Barnsley cured it and why he had it. I will await reply
