Following the recent demise of the witch, we had a new draw earlier today - I got Ken Dodd. Didn't know he was still alive tbh - although he's probably just announcing a new tour knowing my luck! Anyway, winners cheque of £4800 was paid to the lucky barsteward that had Maggie. Incidentally, the previous winner was my best mate who won £1300 with Jimmy Saville.
Actually went to see him 2 weeks ago in Leeds....at first I thought he was showing his age,but as the show went on(he did 4hrs 15 mins)he seemed to get younger... I've a feeling you'll have a bit of a wait yet
He's just finished a tour - my mrs went to see him. He did 4 hours on stage - you get your money's worth with Ken!!
4hrs 15mins? Oh ********, that's a pound a week down the drain then . Pretty much the same as I said to a mate that drew Michael Parkinson - "got another series lined up" etc
Pretty sure he's also signed up to compete in a triathalon in the Knotty Ash area of Liverpool. He's the bookies favourite to win it.
Marvellous, just what I wanted to hear! Having said that, 4hrs on stage can't be good for a man of his age surely ?
You're just not helping here are you ? I would have thought he'd be favourite btw, pretty sure the diddy men would be disadvantaged with those little legs
You might be okay, as it's the beginning of April, so he should be getting his tax bill soon. The shock might finish him off.
This is exactly the type of post I like . I'd not factored in the time of year & his fiscal "naivety" lol.
Don't say that - I've got little legs P.s Bet you can smell the Premiership can't you?! You and Swansea up there - be some season!!!
Listen, don't put yourself down - you've obviously entered so you've got as much chance as anyone else With regards the Premiership, I've been saying that it's done & dusted for some time now tbh. Not arrogance, just know exactly how tough this division is and how precious points in the bag are. Basically, that's why I've said in another thread that if you beat Derby, I think you'll stay up. We've been in the situation where we've had to chase teams in front of us many times in the last few seasons & it's hard. Strangely enough though, the Premiership isn't the be all & end all for me. I'll be happy if/when we get there - but tbh I really enjoy the Championship. A decent standard and, instead of two teams setting out not to lose, you've got two sides that have a go at each other. We need it for the financial future of the club - but one season will probably do me thank you very much.
