We're financial advisers, and we are partners of the club so technically it's like giving something to the club? Www.aquilafs.co.uk
Be very careful who you chose. Most recommend routes which give them good commission. Same with pensions, they go through major companies who give good commission. Sometimes there are better deals elsewhere. It is a minefield, and its your money they are after.
whilst this may have the case in the past, finnacial advisers are no longer allowed to take commission on pension and investment products, it comes off the investment amount as a fee (or you pay the fee yourself) so it's totally transparent
Theoretically yes but practically no. I have seen deals done with a percentage of the commission given to the client to get the business
i think the fca would have something to say about that. this could still theoretically happen with protection business as that is still on a commission basis, can't see how with pensions and investments though as commission is no longer allowed, the companies will only pay a fee off the top line, no enhancements.
Companies have to pay Vat, but some will take cash, their are a lot of ways round it. Albeit major companies would not play ball but smaller companies take cash, some take cash no receipt. This may not apply to Financial advisors but the same fiddles will go on. Then of course there are those that vanish with the money, or invest it for themselves and try to keep everything on an even keel by robbing Peter to pay Paul. Those that get caught never give the punter his money back
