I really hope that the club try and keep as many as possible for next season but I realise some will leave. Alnwick, lidakevicius Wiseman jones Hassell mcnulty Craine? Golbourne Kennedy Perkins etuhu Dawson? Rooney O'brien Cywska RNL Dagnall harewood. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure if I've missed anyone out. Foster Edwards, I would release both of these although if Edwards can some how show his fitness level I would keep him if Craine looks to be leaveing which I think he will. Mellis, I think Mellis will leave to a champ team but we should get money for him. I also think Dawson might leave but I've included him because he's more chance of staying. I would liked to keep O'Grady but I've not included him because I wouldn't have a clue if be would stay here. I would release Scotland. Missed Steele out of this write up. I think Steele would leave if we were to go down.
I missed out Scott. Can play cb rb and dm. Clark. Any attacking position. Patterson. Cm or rm. I wouldn't include them in the first 22 but they could all be included. rose should be included in the list above with Digby.
Steele would only go if he were to be another teams number 1 GK. I don't think he will have many takers in the championship, there is already a lot of established number 1s out there.
The only squad I'm focused on is the one visiting the City Ground on Saturday. Plenty of time to ruminate later.
Phil, how many of those will be out of contract next year ? Think they would probably try get championship wages first and use us as fallback Think the ones under contract would see how it was going for first half of season and slap in a transfer request in January if we are not looking like getting back up. How do you think Digby, Clark, Rose, Rooney, Toni Silva would do at League 1 level? BTW good to see you include Hassell in there. No point trying to score points. We're all hurting at the moment.
I think we should try nod offer the players the deals straight away and say to them tell us now. There will be a lot of free transfers in the summer and we should hopefully try and keep our wage budget from this. On hassell he's been playing well. I will say on him that if he wants to play more and not get injured he's going to have to put more in in warm up. He really goes through the motions only. One of the drills they walk with there hands up in the air. Harewood Scotland to the younger plays like rose Patterson and RNL all had there hands up fully. Hassell didn't have his hands above is head and he was like that on all the exercise including the calf/ hamstring drills. Not having ago but it's something I've noted all season from Rochdale to the last game against derby.
If thats true then its a fair point. Never take any notice, but if they're supposed to be doing it to limber up and not, then there is a problem. I could understand it if he was on the bench, but not if he's starting.
Another . They do a squats and put there right leg as far as possible to the left. He doesn't Squat at all. He half heartily puts his leg across. Well there's guys in the late 70's who could do that.
Can't help yourself, can you? Bob played on Saturday despite an injury strain. He soldiered on. He again played yesterday, still suffering. Before the strain became a tear. Absolute lunacy to suggest the MOST professional player at the club "doesn't warm up properly". *You also need to get out more.
Well he doesn't. I'm normally in the stadium quite early. was in about 6.50 on tuesday night and there wasn't a lot to do or talk to so i watched it. He was the first in the line which he normally is Whitey.
You get to the ground an hour before kick off? Never mind your latest Hassell mistruth, I really REALLY want to know why you are in the ground with an hour to spare...?
way to go Hemsworth, if any of them do read this board lets instigate a dsiscussion on who we would like to keep whilst expecting them to give their all for the cause eh?
You go into Oakwell 1 hour before kick off on a night match just to watch players not warm up properly?
No, he goes to carefully study one particular player and note down anything stopping said player from getting the extra 1%.
