I was reviewing my Shazam history the other day and found this gem which I recorded at some club night in Glasgow around Hogmanay. It's totally retro and derivative and probably the best song that the Rolling Stones never made. Enjoy :)

    Foxygen - Make it Known

Saw the Fratelli's at Leadmill a few months back, they were brilliant.

I've never seen them but their live shows look awesome. Just missed them in the UK as their tour started just after I left. Hoping to catch them later this year and really looking forward to the new album.

    Just one song needed

Ali in the Jungle - The Hours

Ideal for the situation too... ending with the lyrics..."the greatest comeback since Lazarus...."

Thats amazing, I was actually listening to Teenage Kicks album in the car today. Some great tracks to take me back to my youth. Had to laugh when the Toy Dolls sang Nellie the elephant.

Of monsters and men - my head is an animal (Icelandic band, folky, Knocks spots off Mumford)
Bauer - sleeping giant (up and coming Manchester band)
Villagers - awayland (great second album, something a bit different)

    All decent new albums

That's it with compilation albums you always get one or two dodgy tracks sneaked on!
