Looks alright to me. The town centre is a **** hole so anything to improve it works for me. Improvements don't have to mean knocking a shop down and building a new one, it can be making the area around the town hall an area that people will want to be in which will make the shops in front of it and around it worth more and become more attractive to potential businesses. Area around the town hall: Smart Area around the lamp room: Smart Area behind the theatre: Smart I think all three are good projects, couple them with the redevelopment of the markets and I really think it's the best thing the town centres had in my lifetime.
So you say the town is a **** hole ! and claim that I knock the town ( even though you failed to produce any evidence ) You really are one of the worlds w@#%&@#
Tories looking to make another 13.5 billion pound in cuts - the Treasury are objecting becuase they are too harsh! VOTE TORY!
Centre ? Are you on drugs You have yet to provide evidence ref your accusation about me In fact the only evidence you have produced is how much of a fool you are Windmill boy ? In your dreams
For a start I would be very surprised if it cost anything like that, I will wait till price is published rather than speculate secondly money well spent making sure the cow didn't escape from the box
But you'll speculate about the cost of moving a sculpture without the cost being published. Gotcha !!! ☺
Tell u what is a criminal waste...kingstone sports centre being knocked down less than ten years after it was built. Shocking waste of a good facility...and the sad thing is if Barnsley goes 'round knocking down sports facilities like that the town won't get another penny out of Sport England.
Should never have been built they were advised at the time that the school was going making the facility both superfluous and economically unviable
So did the little garden behind the Civic cost more or less than the Thatcher funeral? Give it to me in millions.
I told you earlier, costs will be minimal. You are the one making all the noise, do your research first. Do you question the movement of every large lump of steel in and out of Barnsley? Last summer, I accompanied an art work going on loan from one major London institution to another. It took 20 minutes door to door. I had a security fella from our gaff and one from the destined institution. We used a contracted vehicle we keep on a £200 p day retainer. The security lads probably earn £400 a week. Minimal costs, little fuss. This object has no fixed precedent on it's value. Suffice to say that if it hit the open or even black market, there would be an American, Russian or Chinese dude ready to part with 8 figures at the drop of a hat. Think on.
