Come On Leeds & Blackburn

Lets hope they both win tomorrow to help us out.

 

why would leeds winning help us out?

forgive my ignorance on this one

I understand they play Brighton at home and have no idea how a brighton defeat would assitst us

 

its because

Palace play Peterboro and Brighton play Wolves. on the last day. If they were both to lose their next game and Leicester and Forest win tomorrow, then it means that Palace and Brighton will need to get results against Wolves and Posh. That's why, well that's the way I see it looking at the remaining fixtures and the table.

If we are banking on Leeds we are fecked...every time I've actually wanted them to win they've lost!

Yeah basically if Leeds/Blackburn win tomorrow it means Palace/Brighton need to beat Posh/Wolves on the last day to guarantee the play offs. If Leeds/Blackburn lose we'd end up with Palace/Brighton already guaranteed play offs so playing weakened sides against Posh/Wolves on the last day to rest vital first team players ready for the play offs (like Blunts did against Crewe).

 

all the teams from Ipswich down need to do summat tomorrow, because

mathematically none are safe.

Hoping we win both our games and finish above them


However a Peterborough defeat would be welcome


Therefore, rather than selling my soul to the devil and saying I hope Wednesday win I would prefer to say I hope Peterborough loose
