Had one the same last week - saying I needed to get on to my computer staright away because of "alerts" Microsoft had received. When the Indian(I presume ) lady told me her name was Mary - I told her to go & fooook herself. Microsoft wouldn't ring you anyway!!

My dad got a call a few weeks ago. 66 year old never owned a computer but got told exactly the same.

He swiftly told them 'I don't have a bloody computer, call again and I'm phoning the police' and put the phone down.

A few minutes later phone rang again and the person on the other end said 'have you called them yet'

    Cheeky buggers

Aye they didn`t like my phone manner and cutting em off so rang me back and told me to **** off.

First time I`ve been told to eff off by an Asian. Couldn`t stop laughing.

    I'm still here...

Maybe the mafia are very busy with all the extra work and are still making their way down the list.

Scam - I get them all the time! Microsoft never call - they usually phone after a big update has been sent out

Having worked closely with Microsoft on occasion, I can confirm that they will charge a lot more than anyone on one of these calls tries to charge you...
