No coincidence that yesterday was the anniversary of The Great Bradford City Match so only fitting that we should do the same to Hull today, in a similar atmosphere. I'm really glad that I made the 320-mile effort today and it was such a shame that there were not about another 5,000 Reds fans in, but those who were there made up for the stay-aways. The game was just incredible from start to finish. I didn't think we could keep up the relentless pace after half time but we did, scored again and could have had another through COG late on. We made Hull look very ordinary and it is amazing to think they are where they are and we are at the opposite end. Staggeringly good performances all over the pitch from the players in red so no point in picking anyone out. They just worked their socks off for each other and we need the same again next week. A great day was only ruined this evening by two things - the lame brains who think it is clever to run on the pitch when thousands of people don't want them to, and the Peterborough result dumping us back in the bottom three. You know it is going to happen but it wouldn't take much to stop them doing it - a couple of big dogs might do the trick for a start. Really strange to see two lines of yellow coated statues just standing there doing absolutely nothing. What was the point in them being there at all?
Thanks for that, PR. Glad you had a great day and a worthwhile journey. From someone who used to live in High Wycombe, and who knows how far it is to go to Oakwell from there!!!
Well I don't do it as often as I would like, but today was DEFINITELY WORTHWHILE. Can't remember the last time I heard so much noise and singing from three sides of the ground. The Hull end was packed but they soon went quiet when they realised they were playing a good team
