Barnsley town centre was gridlocked Saturday due to the fkin work on the £1.6m gardens next to the town hall.

Single lane traffic from traffic lights coming up up Market Hill to Shambles street. With no right turn on St. Mary's. Throwing all town centre traffic back down to the town end round about.

I got stuck in that lot for a good 20mins as the parking at the old council offices on Eldon Street being closed due to the continental market.

And what have they done in the gardens in the last 3 month? From what I can tell, they've taken the old car park tarmac surface up.

Its where you have ended, so obviously being winners we've been finalists twice but progressed past it one of those times

You are not allowed to mention the town hall gardens on here. Apparently its money well spent

Thats ok cause Hull don't deserve to go up. Bring 5000 and they don't make a sound once they go behind. Their team was poor. Oh and they only started getting crowds when they got a new stadium and its not even theirs. They should stick to egg chasing.

In all fairness, you could say that about 75% of Hull fans these days.

To think there might be two divisions between us next season when we completely outclassed them in every area, support included.

"They class Leeds as their main rivals. No idea why. I would have put Scunny forward as more appropriate"

I think the Hull fan might be a tad bitter that we were by far the better team on the day.

As for Hull, it's a right s**thole - makes Barnsley look like Monte Carlo.

It's ironic that he talks about our infrastructure when there are stilll 500 Barnsley fans trying to get out of their carpark from the last time we visited their **** hole of a city.

I overheard a young Hull lad turn to his father as he approached the ground and tell him that the ground looked like a leisure centre.

How quickly they forget. I remember the old Boothferry Park with three-quarters empty terracing with the stench of decay hanging over it. I remember them being locked out of said decaying heap as the liquidators moved in. They have struck gold because they have had substantial investment, but it is still a rugby town at heart and they should remember where they come from.

Wouldn't swap Oakwell for that soulless bowl anyway.

If we ever update the West Stand (I'll cry) our stadium will look the business.
