That way it will leave Palace needing a win at Peterborough on Saturday, so a point would be enough for us!

A point would be the ideal result for me. Palace would still need a win on Saturday, to be sure of a play off spot, and it would keep Millwall in trouble. A 1-0 palace win would be the worst possible result, IMO.....that's tonight's prediction sorted then!

A draw is the worst result in my opinion, as it would leave Palace only needing a point on Saturday, but Milllwall would then only be catchable if we won. We need a result tonight, my preference would be a Millwall win, but if not then a thumping Palace victory.

Of course - preferably by 5 or 6 goals, but they won't as it's a derby with a lot on the line. It will be tense and nervy. I can see it running out 0-0 or 1-0 either way.

Either way, all I'm concentrating on is beating Huddersfield on Saturday - nothing else matters.

A point might do, but it might not be enough either, so they would need to play for a win to be sure

a 3 goal victory by Palace. This would mean that if Derby beat Millwall we only need a Draw. With how unpredictable Peterborough are, and their current reasonable form, and Palaces poor form, I wouldnt be surprised at any CP v Peterborough result. I reckon Millwall are more likely to lose at Derby (even though Derby have nothing to play for). Although, given Palaces poor form I can't see them winning by 3 goals, so i would maybe accept 2 at a push. A 1-0 CP victory is probably the worst result.

I have been wondering the same.

My conclusion is that we cannot afford Millwall (or indeed any team who can go down) to gain 3 points, no matter what implications it may have for other matches.

We need to hope all relegation threatened sides lose all relevant matches, starting with Millwall tonight.

Millwall could win tonight and then Palace could totally bottle it against Peterborough. We'd be in much worse state then

A draw would be ideal - keeps both teams needing something on the last day but Millwall are hopeless so no doubt they will fold again.

A draw is the worst result. It means we can catch Millwall with a win, but a win guarantees us safety anyway. It also makes Palace relatively safe in the playoffs. We don't really gain any benefit.

I think a big Palace win is my favoured result, followed by a Millwall win, followed by a draw.

Can't decide - a draw doesn't work in that we'd need to win to overhaul them, and that keeps us up over Huddersfield anyway. So either a win for Millwall that means Palace still need a win, or a 4+ goal defeat for Millwall which means we'd be ok with a point and them losing on Sat.

Not going to worry over this game, we just need to win on Sat, end of.

Think we need to look at it as though we need a win regardless, because I think that's realistically what we need.

I reckon Millwall could end up going down still, as us, P'boro and Wednesday seem to be fighting and they seem to be slipping. Can't see them getting any points.

    3. Draw

But as other people say we need to get out of the mindset of relying on others - it hasn't worked so far - we need to be fully focused on a win at Huddersfield.

Since Flitcroft took over and we started picking up, almost everytime we got a good result, a great win, so did others. We never seemed to get the break as other results went against us. This Saturday that doesn't matter - if we go out and get the great result, if we get the win - then there aren't other results that can conspire against us!
It's in our own hands (as it is for every one else down there except Wolves), so lets get behind the lads for one final push!

Got to be a Palace win. It will not lead to any complacency from them in the last game. Yes, three points tonight will guarantee them a play-off spot, and will guarantee that they will play Brighton in the play-off semis. However, they will surely want to finish fourth to have the second leg at Selhurst. Given Brighton's superior goal difference a draw in the final game would not be enough for them to finish fourth, meaning that they will go all out for the win against the Posh. Brighton are Palace's biggest rivals making it even more important that they do this. Cue Glenn Murray ....

Defo palace by 3 clear goals is best result. Gives us more survival routes on last day. A draw would be worst result
