Lets hope he is sporting as much ******** as normal Trouble is what he has written this time looks only too plausible and a scenario I keep fearing seems to have forgotton to mention the massive club who are also involved Claridge's verdict: "I don't think Wolves have a chance of getting out of trouble, not at Brighton. The Seagulls don't just play nicey, nicey stuff, they're difficult to play against and can grind it out on occasions. "If Wolves are to save themselves then it will take some goals and I can't see it happening. "What has happened there beggars belief. They've got themselves into a right pickle and people will be shaking their heads for a long time to come. "As for who joins them, Millwall have not got an easy game at Derby but I think it's between Peterborough and Barnsley and could come down to goal difference. "Peterborough lost their first seven games and have done a remarkable job to take it to the last day. They are capable of getting something at Palace. "But I can't see Barnsley winning at a Huddersfield team who have been playing well recently, won some big games and who need a result themselves to be sure of survival because their goal difference is worse than everyone else's. "I think Peterborough and Barnsley will both get draws on Saturday and that will send Barnsley down on goal difference." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22369792
As much as I want to wave my fist at him and call him names, I think that's a pretty decent prediction. Doesn't mean he'll be right of course, but I think he's looking at it objectively. A draw for us and Peterborough is what I fear may happen.
I think a draw tomorrow is very unlikely, and if he knew as much about football as he thinks he does he would know that as well. If it's 0-0 or 1-1 going into the last 20 minutes, we know that (unless Peterborough are getting hammered) we need to win so we'll throw the kitchen sink at it - this will either work and we'll score or we'll leave too many gaps at the back and they'll score on the counter.
**** - sorry. I meant to post ....... "> Steve Claridge predicts we will be relegated" followed by "there's a shock". I had something else in my clipboard at the time and didn't properly copy the thread title.
That could have been a lot worse. Anyhoo, as you say TV pundit in odds-on outcome prediction shocker (Barnsley going down that is). Money for old rope.
That's how most of football sees the situation and why we are still favourites for the drop. It's just an objective point of view. Though, he hasn't accounted for the Flicker factor and the fact that this team doesn't know when it's *********.
I am hoping that as he completely forgot the Fowls that they will be the side that goes down and makes him look a dick as usual ( Though I would actually prefer Millwall to go )
Palace Peterborough will be 0-0 imo. We have to win but a draw isn't unlikely, especially since it's what Huddersfield need.
Must have been a really tough decision to predict the two sides not currently relegated in the bottom three with be there after the final match. Bold predictions there by Stevie C.
I think it could be both of us drawing - probably worst case scenario that we go down on goal difference, I'll just spend all next week looking at where we could have got the extra point or why we shipped 6 against Charlton. I reckon though that we'll draw and Peterborough will lose.
Yeah..I can easily see his prediction coming true n'all....we need to win t'morra or we'll be down, that's my prediction..
Football is a funny old game and has been known to blow predictions out of the water. Who would have put money on Barcelona losing 7 - 0 on aggregate - as I said its a funny old game and owt could happen.
