Just got in and may have had one cheeky lemonade too many so bear with me. What an end to the season,so many twists & turns - as I think I predicted . Watching our game & having the scores from games at either end of the table (and the resultant effect) was fantastic - as usual. There was nothing on it for me obviously, but the tension was still unbearable! Ultimately, we all finished where we deserved to finish - but this fantastic division is so close it's not true. You could have gone down today but what was the difference between that & a play-off place - 4 wins? That's nothing over 46 games and I'm sure we can all look back on games "we should have won". Thought you'd done it today, blown it, done it, blown it.... fair play, they put you through the wringer Bet you're looking forward to this madness again next year though lol. May your hangovers be little ones in the morning - and some of us have to do it again tomorrow with afternoon/night celebrations for the season just gone. Chuffed to bits for you all \0/ /0\ \0/ /0\
Cheers Bluebird Thanks for the kind words. Many congrats on your promotion. Don't forget us, and keep coming back.
Re: Cheers Bluebird Ta - and the same to you. I'm not one that fawns over Rupert Murdochs "Bestest League in the World" tbh - but want to have a look & see what could be. If it doesn't work out, so what - we'd be going back to what, imo, is a far more competetive league - where literally anyone can beat anyone.
Will do - but I honestly don't think it will compare to the Championship. Yes, the games against the big clubs look good - but the "bread & butter" games in the Premiership bore me senseless more often than not. If it's not one of the top 6, you get two teams lining up against each other determined not to lose. There's a big difference there compared to our division - where anyone can beat anyone. Peterborough did the double over us!
I'll tell you how it will go: 1. You'll start off loving the excitment and the experience 2. You'll get a few good results and it will feel great. 3. You'll start to resent the ridiculous prices and the realisation that you're paying your hard earned over in great big wedges to support the lifestyles of millionaires. 4. You'll get a lot of really bad decisions that make you wonder whether there is a conspiracy against smaller clubs being upstarts in the big boys league. 5. You'll end up being sickened by the naked greed on display. 6. If you go down, you'll realise that you are not that bothered and are glad to be back in a league that you can identify with because if you enjoy the football then that's all that matters, right? That's pretty much how it was for me, and the greed and the stupid level of the prices has increased in multiples since our season in the sun.
