There dosent need to be zillions thrown at the club But if we can get a few decent quality additions..........and these may be and probably will be from the lower leagues, then I'm sure we will be top six or there abouts next season Its up to Pat Cryne whether to 'stick' or 'play'.......that is to say; push the boat out a bit...........with Flicker at the helm i would 'play' if I was PC because the rewards are very likely to be huge
You worked that out by....? Listening to commentary? Watching the FLS? You haven't seen us under Flicker, have you?
Yes I have.............. but what the hell has that to do with the price of potatoes ??? A bloke sat on the setee all season supping tea and eating ginger buscuits can see whats happened here FFS You only need to see what has been achived with the results after Flicker took over..................... which has been achived in spite of the sale of certain top players, plus injuries to other key players................... to realise that we have a manager that given the right level of backing will create a team that is going to win alot more than they lose
If we could carry this year's form into next season we will be top 6 whether we like it or not. Nudge is suggesting adding more quality to the team and allowing Flicker more elbow room. Sounds good to me!
IF flicker stays, IF he can keep all the players he wants AND add 3 or 4 more quality recruits, I think we have a genuine chance of top 10. I'd be perfectly happy with that
He's given us top 4 already with a pretty thin squad at times,no reason to think he's not capable of repeating it.........hopefully
Exactly what I said to my mate other day. As long as Flitcroft and the board work together we're laughing
We couldn't keep that form up over a full season. Top half finish would be a great achievement next season.
Got to agree Gordon, a top 12 finish would be a great achievement, play offs isn't impossible but highly unlikely but we've seen how crazy football can be so you never know
2 defenders 2 strikers improve the quality in key areas and we will be ok next year, not top 6 mind unless something bizarre happens like 1996
agree to a point. you wonder whether or not that group of players could maintain that level of performance and intensity, saturday/tuesday, over the season. we need more squad depth. on the flip side, just look at what flicker achieved, under THOSE circumstances, in 2013. if he gets what he's asking for, i imagine he'll be looking at top 10. and any top 10 team is only ever 1 or 2 games from top 6. i would be happy with a comfortable mid-table slot though. just one season with no drama. consolidation
We should be aiming for top 6 as a minimum. If we plan to be any lower we run the risk of scraping through again
45 minutes at a time, and we'll finish where we finish. keep the nucleus, add 3 or 4 quality recruits, maybe a couple more for squad depth. with the might of flicker at the helm, who knows what's possible
If any team in the division is not aiming for top 6 at the start of the season then the managers deserve the sack. They have spent the summer tweaking the squad to aim for success. Of course, most will fall short but they should all be aiming high until September at least
