Apologies if I am referred to as one of those posting 'unsubstantiated rumours' - surely it would not be a rumour if it was substantiated - it would be fact. As far as I remember since coming on this board for a number of years, I thought it was a discussion forum, as if you were having a chat with friends in the pub, or having a natter with like minded people. If you hear a rumour, you comment on it and express your opinion on it - positive or negative, comment on whether you think it is a possibility or not. Since when did we become so precious that people are called pillocks for starting a topic? What banality of a thread would you like me to post without fear of being labelled a pillock? My post simply referred to a piece of passing information I was told and wondered what my fellow board members thought of it - inferring that we always have some common thread of worry as BFC fans. I do not claim to be the font of all knowledge where Barnsley is concerned, nor do I claim my 'rumours' to be true, neither do I spend 24 hours a day waiting to respond to other posters as I have work and a life to attend to. I'd suggest people who don't like these type of threads either don't read them, don't comment on them or take their heads from up their arse and come down from the moral high ground - or do you want me to be discussing whether we should be wearing Burkha's as next seasons kit???
don't take it personally buddy..if you post on a forum, you're also going to get all manner of responses. works both ways
I think you found out but like tomfun says don't take it seriously, it happens all the time - only last month I was called a 'right wing' bigot.
I heard a rumour on Sunday night that would have sent this board into melt down!! I thought I'd better not say anything, but I'm not saying it's not true either and it is not good!! It will explode in it's own good time, if it's going to. I find it is better to prefix along the lines of.... 'Probabaly a load of ********,but....' What I do hate to see is rookie posters laying down the law to members such as yourself, who have been contributing for decades!
Source? You know that you can't talk about unsubstantiated rumours of a clique is against the rules on here without facts or links to prove it is the 100% truth. Pillock, or summat.
Ah, bfchris, there you go again with unsubstantiated rumours of burqas - the board will melt down!!!! If you can find 2 likeminded people on here then I salute you!
Re: Go on, report it mate Probably because an unsubstantiated rumour discussed in the pub among a few friends will generally stay amongst that small group, the same doesn't happen on the internet and it has more of an ability to cause damage.
