I did that a couple of months back and was shocked. But, like you say, it puts things into perspective.
Completely flawed. Wouldn't accept my net annual income or my assets. Both of which are nowt. Lowest amount I could enter was an annual income of £217, which apparently puts me in the top 100% richest people in the world by income, which is about as useful a statistic as being shat on by a cow.
Interesting, but seriously flawed as it doesn't take cost of living into account. I'd be well happy on my income in Shanghai, but would probably have to live pretty frugally Oslo. There was a similar thing on the BBC site a few months back which ranked your position not just worldwide but also within your own country - better but still nowhere near perfect. Even London and Hull are pretty difficult to compare, never mind Moscow and Tomsk.
i'm rich in the fact I have a great family, does that count (**** money), you can only eat some much and wear so many clothes at one time, you look daft wearing more that one watch at a time, So I saying I have a great family so I'm rich
You’re in the top 0.24%richest people in the world by income. That makes you the 16,184,982ndrichest person on earth by income
Tomsk clears up more litter from Wimbledon common, but if it's an arms race with the USA you're after then I'd back Moscow every time.
Given that it asks you for net annual income, wouldn't it be helpful if it put a tax calculator for you on there as well?
Another flaw.... Big city dwellers tend to earn higher salaries than those in smaller towns, yet tend to have much less living space and often no garden. Not sure what I'm getting at here, but I just thought it was an interesting point.
Re: Another flaw.... Wealth and riches are not only assessed by how much money you have got. There are so many other factors to take into account.......... Health Family Friends Interests in life I know and have known people with a lot of money in my lifetime..............I cant think of any that smile very often You usually find that more money a person has the more misrable they are
