Don't Dearne FM do anything like that? Genuine question, I'm slightly out of range to receive it!

Re: Radio dee dar a serious question

they are in fact a BBC local station, as far as I am aware. Now its pretty obvious to me the blatant bias they show to the Blunts and the Pigs....and the open derision to the rest in their broadcast area. Why not Petition the main BBC Radio bosses and make a complaint. is it worth it. Personally I would like Deane FM to step it up and try a PoG style show in direct competition... Are Dearne an independent FM radio show and not a BBC item, if so then they are free to do so.

Did you know that the only live program on Dearne FM is the breakfast show!

The rest of it is pre-recorded in the space of a few hours and songs are added in between...bit of a joke really.

I'm not sure they could afford to present football in the same way as Radio Sheffield.

There is definitely a big bias in a number of areas - yes, most of the listeners are in Sheffield but there is just as many people outside of Sheffield that it is supposed to cover and doesn't.

Every time P&G is on, they'll entertain a Blade or Owl that can't string a sentence together and makes no valid points for ten minutes. A supporter of another team calls, speaks eloquently and makes a good point and he is gone within 45 seconds.

they totally hated it when we got in the Prem

'cos we were headliners then, and that stuck in their throats. Then the Great cup runs we have had especially the one which led us to the semi finals. Knocking out both Liverpool and Chelski. They just cannot stand it when any other club in S Yorkshire eclipse the Pigs and Blunts.

A more powerful one as well, I used to live less than two miles from the ground and couldn't get 1575 on a radio in the house only on the car radio.

How about paying the £4.49 per month for Barnsley Player, giving money to the club as well as live commentary of every Barnsley game, listening to a Barnsley fan commentate and not someone from radio de da that couldn't give a ****.

I find R Sheff very fair to other clubs and areas. I never understood what the fuss is about. P&G has a higher volume of United and Wednesday fans listening and ringing in, but I wouldn't call it unfair. And Rob Staton is a Miller, anyway.

The bloody Star, on the other hand....

That hacks me off too, even on the last show Paul Walker (I think) said that callers would have to be quick and make their point because there were loads of callers to get through. Donny fan phones in and gets about half a minute, a Chesterfield fan follows and gets the same then some half pi55ed idiot of a Sheff Utd fan calls in rambling ***** and got nearly five minutes.

Exactly, I once heard a bulletin that spoke about a Barnsley match that had just finished on a Saturday - trouble is it was a match that had took place the previous Saturday!

Rob Staton is a Rovrum lad, but he's very definitely a Wednesdayite. It was only a few years ago (before his big break) that he was a regular poster on OwlsTalk.

I like Rob, and he's explained to me that the volume of calls they receive come mainly from Sheffield, so there's little they can do.

If you want to moan about no coverage for us, ring the ******* up! (not you, Paul, those who are moaning)

I used to call once upon a time, but I got tired of it. I hardly even listen in anymore.

Can't understand why everyone slags it off. Listened to it a lot this season and think their coverage has been brilliant. Each to their own.
