Some complete ****-monkey has deliberately cut the wires, that run up the wall outside. Why anybody would be passing with some wire cutters, or a pair of sharp scissors I'll never know. And why they'd target our Sky supply is even bigger a mystery. Some people, eh? *Thanks to kanecat for her help, by the way.
Mr C is going round cutting everyones sky because it was skys fault for the boston bombings or summat
Had a mate who used to live on Stocks Lane and someone cut everyone's phone line on the front of the house (well certainly a few either side of him). Quite what these idiots get from stuff like this is beyond me (unless they manage Maplins....)
Sorry to hear that Andy, there really are some b'stards about. They probably had a right laugh cutting them knowing you'd have to pay to repair them. Same thing happened to my mate and even though they got the lads doing it on CCTV the bobbies couldn't do much about it.
I had the same thing last year. Going mad, what's up with the Sky etc? Got the Sky bloke round, only to be told my cable had been cut whilst "someone" had been trimming the creeper on the house. I felt a bit daft.
Spent all day trying to figure out why it was off. Honestly, hours of fruitless effort. Hopefully, it can be rectified without the need of a Sky engineer at £65 a pop.
You don;t need a Sky engineer for a cable joint mate, mine charged me £20 for connecting both ends of the cut cable and he was robbing me at that. 5 minute job.
I'm the same, nothing worse than untested new scissors. Plays on your mind how they are going to perform.
I'm never really clear what you DO need a Sky engineer for. I mean, you stick a bracket to the side of the house, fix the satellite dish to it, point it at the satellite and run the cable(s) from it to the box(es). It's not exactly rocket salad, is it?
