Never Ever thought i'd say this but Sheffield Wendy

Have gone up a bit in my estimations not a lot but a bit
Refused a significant extra sum of money for a sponsorship deal from an immoral, almost criminal(should be) money lending firm that preys on people in poverty or in dire straights. Stating that they do not want to be associated with such firms. Well done Wendy .

To be fair Wonga is one of the 'better' PDL companies.

 

Sorry but the meaning of fair and extortionate money lending rates don't go together. Exploiting people and their situations in this way may well be legal but it's immoral in my opinion.

Yes but there are always going to be people who need money who can't get it from a bank, if it's not Wonga they go to it'll be a loan shark and they'll get their legs broken when they don't pay.

 

These break their legs loan sharks can acquire bad debtors from so-called reputable firms. But anyway there are facilities such as Credit Unions for those who can't get money from other high street financial institutions. Anyway don't want to detract from the thread by focusing on why and whose fault it is for lending money in the first place. People like Beecroft are nothing but hypocrytes and also his document on hiring and firing ought to be shoved where the sun doesn't shine.
Well done SWFC and I sincerely hope our club never accepts sponsorship from these people.
