    Well done on that. Sounds like typical relationship where the majority of guys are the Reacher (reaching for something out of their league) and your wife is the typical Settler (settling for someone who knows they have done well to get you so would never hurt you as they realise they are the lucky one).......

    To be honest, as a vegetarian you'd probably have starved to death by now. Even the veggie stuff has meat in it! All the soups are made with meat stock. The best one was when in a Chinese resto here I asked for something vegetarian, and was offered duck chow mein. "A duck isn't an animal, it's a bird", was the explanation, in perfect Chussian.

    I used to be a vegetarian for 10 years (got bored of it) and my wife still is, so we've heard loads over the years. Couple of the best:

    "You can eat wafer thin ham can't you? It's cut really thin."

    "Surely you can eat beef? Cows don't eat meat." (Heard that one on three separate occasions. I guess they believe a vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat carnivores. As opposed to the rest of the population who are gorging themselves on Lion and Wolf.)
