Flicker saying he has had extensive talks with PC for 2 weeks about where the club is going.........not only regarding the first team but HOW THE CLUB SHOULD BE MANAGED OFF THE FIELD AS WELL.

If Flicker is determining what is happening off the field..............then what role has THE DON got?

May I suggest that flicker concentrates on what is happening on the field........and leaves the other business to other people that are employed at the club
Flicker has enough on his plate getting the first team reight niver mind owt else

It seems to me that Flickers enthusiasm for everything at the club is going berserk........yes thats right, Flickers gone berserk !!!
Smeone needs to sit him darn and weld a pair of blinkers to his heead and then point him in the direction of the first teeam

He won't literally run the club like Don does for 8-10 hours a day. He means more input into ideas

The most important man at the club is the first team manager so I see it as a positive that he wants to put a stamp on other parts of the club. Don will still do the business and the running of the club but Flicker will give input.

Lol Nudge. Flicker is Barnsley FC MANAGER. He is not a 'coach' like his continental counterparts tend to be. There is a lot of off the field stuff that British managers do, and rightly so. It doesn't necessarily mean that he wants Don's job, just a bit of input with long term ideas that could eventually affect the playing side of things.

Most important person at the club is the............OWNER
This is the guy who appoints the team manager
In Pat we have a good un..........unfortunatly he aint got mega bucks.................but he's made some excellent signings when it comes to first team managers

.....................run the same question past any Sheffield United or Leeds United fan

Excellent signings when it comes to first team managers? Are you sure? For me Flitcroft is the only decent manager he has appointed. And even then he was PC's third choice. Do't get me wrong I totally respect PC for what he has done for the club. But I can't agree with you on his record regarding our managers.

They grow wild in many fields in the Peak District, not far from Sheffield. So I've been told like.....

Re: Not to anyone that can see past their nose end

Pat hasn't put a foot wrong when it comes to managers over this last 7 years or so..............

    Ritchie
    Davey
    Robins
    Keef
    Flicker

All of them have added to the club under a very tight budget
(dont mention anything bad about Keef because the current team is basically his)

The only problem we have got is that the present owner hasn't got mega bucks to spend compared to some of the owners in this division.
What we need is a new owner that has got the ability to make good decisions like PC has done - combined with the spending power of someone like him who owns Hull City.
But if it was a choice between good decision making and the amount of wealth a owner had........then i would choose decision making

Example...........look whats happening at Brambley Lane............an owner in McCabe that has probably got two or three times the spending power of Pat Cryne.............but McCabe has yet to make one good decision............hence the position they are in now

Listen to Flitcroft's full interview from the press conference.

You'll get a proper appreciation of where he's coming from, rather than the abridged versions doing the rounds.

Flicker has to have a say and not be told what to do when selling our players like past managers.

The money for example we got fir Vaz Te was a joke. If players demand contracts which suits them and not the club, it simple, don't sign them.

    Flitcroft is showing ambition

He's wanting the club to progress, treat the players like Championship players, create an environment within the club & ground which is conducive to attracting more fans to Oakwell, adopting a more professional attitude, aspiring to being better than we currently are.
It does you no credit whatsoever to spout personal abuse at our very professional, ambitious & talented young manager and is inexcusably disrespectful after what he's done for our club.

It`s taking an outsider to get their arses in gear, although its only lip service they have offered at the moment, only time will tell if they implement anything other than what he wants for his players.

    Here`s hoping anyways.
