Had a season ticket from 87 to about 2007 but then found other reasons to stop going. Family, money, distance, work. Those reasons still exist in part but I am going to buy a season ticket next year because of the effort the players put in and the effort the management team put in. I suppose I had drifted into a 'part timer', but for the first time in a long time, I'm getting a st. Just wondered how many others are doing the same?

Cricket got cancelled this morning, so went straight down and renewed mine. Number 4400 or thereabouts was the book number. Someone more in the know might be able to tell if that's how many we've sold so far.

Strangely looking forward to next season, even this early.

Can't stop whistling 3 little birds either. Really annoying the family.

Me and my Dad have shared one for a couple of years. We'll be getting one each this time so another to the list.

For the first time in over 30 years I am going to be living close enough to Barnsley to be able to attend every home game. I got close to it in the Premier League year even though I was travelling up and down from Gloucester then.

So add me to the list of "new season ticket holders". It is top of my shopping list as soon as I complete my repatriation to the area

Going to be weird being close enough to see any match I want to again. The last time was a brief period 79-80 but apart from that I have been away since 1970, only seeing a handful of matches a season either home or away. It's been agony but I don't intend to miss any more!

Still work most weekends, but my money is here waiting for the club to show a little imagination with a 10-game flexi-ticket or summat similar. Suspect I'll still be waiting this time next year....

I didn't get a season ticket last season (first season without for as long as I can remember) but I am getting one this time.
Even though I will likely only get to between 6 and 12 games. The belief is back, I want to be part of it and do my bit for the club.

Wouldn't miss it for the world.
To be honest I'm expecting another struggle.
Nevertheless, it's a long time since I felt so connected to the club, so much part of something.
Last time we went down I .was almost past caring. I felt the club - my club - was rotten to the core with an inept manager
and journeyman players but this season the notion of relegation reeked of injustice.
In it together next season come rain or shine.

Season ticket to be renewed and I feel inspired enough to start going to away games, something (up until Flicker took over) I've not done in years. Now that I think we are actually going to try in away games, I'll go and get behind them.

£23 flat rate for match day is still very competitive. I'm sure you'll be there

One thing I don't understand is why the club haven't written to me yet. I dunno, perhaps they are planning too but I would have thought I would be exactly the type of punter they should be targeting.

I bought plenty of tickets by post last year so this should all be recorded on a database....

Is Barnsley Football Club really the Club for you? You appear to really dislike it.

You have to admire consistency though...over 3,500 posts, 99.9% negative...He has all the characteristics of a wendy.
