Got a shed half full of the stuff and it's time for a clear out. None of it is any use to anyone, it's all gone manky. Tried the council website but it doesn't mention anything. Can it just go in household waste?

I think they usually have specifc places to put it. Failing that, just tip it down the drain.

cannot go in household waste mate.

go to the dump they should have a chemical disposal point. I used to take my Mothers stuff to the one at High Green. I do not know where you live for your local dump. There is one at Worsbro take a right before the old railway line coming from The Button Mill pub. But chemical waste is a no no for your bin men. Ask them they will maybe tell you your allocated local dump.

Take it to the dump site at Worsbro. That's what I did any way.

My father in law burns stuff like that on a bonfire. I'm sure that it really isn't advisable though.

That's what I was going to do, but there's nothing on their website that says they've got a facility for that. Where did you put it when you got there?

As a former bin man I wouldn't advise putting it in your bin as it will more than likely leak out of the wagon as the packer crushes it and go everywhere and I'm speaking from experience after seeing it happen a fair few times. You can take it to certain places as other posts have said but as I'm in Selby I'm not sure what facilities you have in your district!

That's what I meant when I said household waste in the first place. I didn't mean put it in the bin, I meant take it to the dumpit and put it in the general waste.

    Re: Lol

I took some tins to high green a few weeks ago, they took everything off me apart from the stuff with a black cross on an orange background. They seemed to think Worsborough would take them but it would be best to check first. I havent got round to sorting them since.
