This stupid no under 5's rule...

Anyone know if its still in place? Most sure I saw it somewhere that flicker wanted it scrapping.

My 4 year old son ( 5 in January ) asked me the dreaded question that puts fear in any father that likes a few pre-match pints - "Daddy, when can I go and watch football with you when you go???"

Sorry, he's still banned from Oakwell. Tell him he'll have to go and watch one of our rivals for a year. I know this means he may possibly become a lifelong wednesday fan and we will have lost the chance, yet again, of securing a fan for the future, but it's for his own good you know. Afterall a bag of air could hit him.

Maybe it will be relaxed when they have a standing area, then they can go in there and run around to their hearts content instead of kicking f**ck out of the back of someones seat and save the parent from saying "well they are only kids".

Just thought I'd put another side to the argument. Don't really affect me cos I sit on the back row now, but it used to and that's one of the reasons why I moved seats. We can't all sit on the back row.

 

You should try to get yourself a playing contract at the club because the no under 5's rule didn't seem to extend to the children of players last season. Saw a few in the stand during games, often so young they were being held by their mums

 

Clever wifey, like her style! My Mum persuaded my Dad to take me as I used to kick off at the boredom of trailing round the shops all day on Saturdays with her and my sister.

 

Also the same with people over 6 foot when knees stick into the people in front. I know that as being 6 foot 3, mine does that.

Banning everyone under the age of 5 because some parents don't know how to control their children is pathetic really. We should ban all those over the age of 70 as well because they have to keep going to the toilet which inconveniences all the people who have to keep moving for them.

Are you sure? Because the official site says age 5+ for season tickets.
