I think Palace have changed it a lot over the years, but always stuck with the same theme. If you do a google image search for 'Crystal Palace Badge' there's certainly a lot of variations, although I don't know if they're all official. For what it's worth I think the new one looks really good.

I'm not too keen on the new Everton one though, that looks like a step backwards to me.

"Crystal Palace FC’s end of season awards event announced the club’s new badge Tuesday May 7. It is the 9th different badge in the 108 year history of a footballing institution in Norwood and Croydon, and marks the first ‘re-brand’ of the club since 1994"

Thanks for the tip, there seems to be quite a lot of different badges indeed. I think this is my favourite. :p

An new badge every 12 years then on average.

I've never been happy with our club crest. I think Toby Tyke is a fine emblem for a BFC kids club, Junior Tykes or something of that nature, but not to put on the shirt or be the main focus of the club. The white rose is dull and symbolises Yorkshire rather than Barnsley. The Oak leaf and the well is an OK concept, albeit a bit literal, but I never liked the actual design. The town's coat of arms is OK, but I'd like something specific to the club rather than the whole town. Anyway, it looks some what dated, what with the workmen wearing flares. When we just used the shield the symbolism was completely lost on me: pigs heads, griffins, cups that look like they're holding a pair of tits, a Maltese cross. I have no idea what they mean.

I'd like to see a good graphic designer given the job of designing us a bespoke emblem that we can use in every aspect of selling the club.

Not a fan of clubs changing their badge so often. Prefer to stick with tradition and have the same one all through history.

They're still wearing flares on our club badge, I think that's to show what era they still think we're in.

I love the oak leaf and well design. Would be very happy to see it on the shirts again personally. Agree about Toby Tyke though. I always used to cringe when we played on tv and the broadcaster used that emblem. Toby has his place, but it's not on the front of the shirt.

I like the coat of arms, always makes me smile and feel proud that my dad was a miner.

I find our current badge weird now, I much preferred our 125th anniversary badge!

Sticking the Liverpool badge on would have been more popular with Everton fans than their new badge :) what was our original badge by the way?

Everton will have been forced into a change by Nike or whoever it is, all clubs with nike have sew on badges, CPFC have gone with Avec kits so they can have the badge embroidered directly on to the shirt instead of a shield thing round it

we need a new club crest ours is *****

It's the same badge this year, innit? Only minus the numbers '125' on it?

I thought it was back to normal on the ST's but here's hoping we kept the gold background :)

I think it looks great. I work for Tag Worldwide (the comapny which the Palace chairman recently sold, and we could have designed it for him. Really hope Palace go up. Parrish is a top guy.
