They are most certainly allowed to voice their opinions of him, he never paid the wages of one single poster on here, well there is a player that posts, yet we the BBSers actual paid HIS wages. Yet he thought it was a great idea to have a pop at us every week. I could not and never will understand why some thought he was so bloody clever!!!! The man was and it seems he still is, a fecking dimwit that thinks he is Alex Ferguson`s better brother !
Season by season since becoming a manager: Took a Rochdale side from third bottom to 9th in half a season. Took them to Wembley Took them to the play offs Took them to promotion Took them to their best ever league position in history in L1 Kept Barnsley in the Championship Had a very poor half season at Barnsley, sacked. Returned to Rochdale and did ok. Nobody denies Hill talks some bizarre stuff at times, but he always has. If anything his experience at Barnsley has improved his PR since his return to Spotland. And you were all warned when he first arrived!
I'd say the only one thing of note is that he got Rochdale promoted. Only reason he kept BFC in Championship was due to Portsmouth's points deduction. Keith Hill was a truly shocking manager for BFC.........he talks sh!te, negative tactics, constant rewarding of is favourite players, total ignorance of Bobby Hassell, etc.
Kept Barnsley in the Division by default. Had 2 VERY POOR half seasons !! Sacked because he was **** at managing players he brought in, the players looked poor under him, yet as soon as he left they looked far superior! Coincidence? I think not. Just because he has always talked some bizarre stuff, that does not mean he is right, it just proves he has always been a twa t! As for warning us, yes you did, but you were also told that he was waging a war against the fans that would cost him his job! As it proved to be. He has found his level and good luck to him, I hope you will all be happy together.
Did you ask Sir Bob if you could post on here, pal? Keith was found out at this level. He's got plenty of positive traits, and I refuse to call him a poor manager. And hopefully - for your sake - the experience here will stand him in good stead in his future endeavours.
If you truly believe that getting Dale promoted was the only thing of note while ignoring finishing 9th in League 1 in a division containing Brighton (who didn't beat us), Sheff Wed (who we played off the park at Spotland), Charlton (another comprehensive victory) and Southampton... who we defeated home and away, then it's possible to say that Hill's achievements as a manager are very under-appreciated. I'm not questioning his overall time at Oakwell, but it's easy to forget that three months before he was sacked he was in charge for a magnificent 5-0 win at Birmingham - still the best one off performance I saw last season. He's an excellent manager who made mistakes, ones which he took far too long to learn from at Championship level. Them's the facts.
