Well when I was nipper, I spent my summer hols at my grandparents in Nottingham, watching Garry Sobers at Trent Bridge...End of arguments. Fin.
exactly, that's you all over. What you've read and listened to is gospel, get your own opinion instead of the media's.
WG Grace was a better batsman than Alastair Cook .... fact! Says so here. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/26252-greatest-ever-cricket-the-top-10-batsmen-of-all-time Just saying what I've read.
It's not the media, the players have come out and said they can not pick him. Warne they could and you saw several bats men putting his ball back in stand. How many times did they put ajmal in the stand in UAE a couple of years ago
Gooch was slightly better IMO. It was a lot harder to score runs when Gooch was playing. He is still a great cricketer and will become an all-time great.
Not saying better. Just the England's bats men can not pick him. He can go either way with the same action whitey. He was the reason England got bowled out for 98 in one second innings.
So I take it Devon Malcolm is the best English pace bowler, considering he once ripped South Africa apart with 9/57? 1994 it was so I assume that doesn't count in Hemsworth world...
They couldn't pick Warne at all. You like stats? Look at what Warne did regularly to us every time he played. Warne had his 'tell' deliveries, which made them think they could read him. Then he'd bowl his disguised delivery and they didn't have a f**king clue. Only the Indians ever played Warne to any reasonable standard, and that's because they're used to playing on pitches that spin and a proliferation of spinners. You don't half talk some f**king rubbish.
Aye, Warne was easy for England to read...
Yes they could pick Warne. That why he got smacked in 05. He admits he was very lucky with bell. Sent down balls to spin and they didn't and he got bell put. Says it in every test match he comments on for sky and will say it again this summer I'm sure. Watched ashes DVD other day he he got plenty of treatment. KP at oval had his number.
********. Warne could spin a billiard ball off an ice rink, even when he lost some of his action. You're making it up. Amazing how you've always 'heard' someone who supposedly backs up your argument, but when you search the Internet, nobody seems to have repaeted anything along those lines. That suggests one of two things to me: You're too stupid to understand the conversations you've listened to, or they never happened. I'm going for the latter.
I'm not. He says it a lot. He's been working for sky over last few summers for main tests for England. South Africa, India .... Normally turns up a couple of days late because of a poker tournament in Las Vegas
Warne took 195 Test match wickets just against England, at an average of 23.25. In the 2005 series he took 40 wickets against England in just five Test matches, at an average of 19.92. Lucky we could pick him, isn't it.
Yes, course he does. 40 lucky wickets in a losing series from the second highest wicket taker ever, and the guy who every player dreaded facing. But our players could read him 'cos Ht hears it regulalrly on Sky. Providing 'Sky' equates to 'the voices in his head'.
