    I'm assuming Sheffield Wednesday if this is a genuine bit of info. We've gone in at 150k, they've laughed and said 600K. We'll settle around an indisclosed 400k. Which is about right all said.

    No not at all, where talking about his handling of transfers, he'll be asked if he's made an offer he'll say no, and before he's put the phone down its confirmed by the other party that he as, and in some cases his own manager as dropped him in it

    I'd have gone in at something ridiculously low just to lower Wednesday's expectations of what we can afford to pay for him. I'm not surprised the first offer has been rejected (if we have indeed made an offer).

    400k is too much for us. I reckon 250k is a fair price, he is no use to them and they are paying him a wage, they should only be looking to recoup what they paid. Be undisclosed anyway so we will never know for sure.

    They will want back what they paid for him on both transfer fee and wages. Then probably a bit more for the championship experience he's gained since being with them. Plus we've shown our hand big time in how desperate we are to get him. I'd be surprised if we got him for less than 500k.
