IF...He has only been offered a 1 year deal then that's an insult to Luke and very poor from us. Yes he makes errors, but 90% of the time he is outstanding for us as a keeper and a person. Listen to him speak, he speaks really well about the club and I bet he is a great bloke to have around! Also, long term players that are loved are really important for fans to form a bond with, I don't like new players every 12/24 months, it's nice to have a Redfern/Bobby etc who are hear for quite a few years!

Tend to agree woth our friend Hemsworth. Surely if Steel was as good as the majority of people on here say he is, why have we not had clubs in offering us money for his services?

How do you reward a laiker who helped saved you in excess of £4 million this year and with a few million in the bank?

Tell him to f.ck off with a one year deal.

Welcome to the new era, the same as the old one.

I would ask Flicker why he has told the board to offer Steele a one year deal ?
Also we have a new keeper coming on trial, from a former Championship side.

I'm going to hold back on this one until the facts come out, although if it is true then the fundamental issues that hold the club back have not only continued, but worsened in my opinion.

And as for Rowing actually coming out and stating that we have 11 players signed up for next season as some kind of positive just reinforces my view that the man needs to retire ASAP. My Sunday league team used to have more names down for the following season than that. I despair at times with the drivel that man comes out with.

Contracts aren't up until 30th June. There'll be lots of good players looking for a club then. Maybe flitcroft has players in his sights who aren't available until then ?

What makes you think that 'good' players would sign for us over other Championship clubs with the contracts we offer? If there's a better keeper than Steele available on a free come 30th June, I'll eat my hat.

How much is Luke on then ? And how long is he asking for ? I don't know and until I do I'll keep my powder dry. Which is as you admirably suggested in your earlier post.

Not to pull you up on this as i agree but i reckon there will be better ones available just not in our ballpark in wages terms. Theres some bizarre decision making going on with regards contracts, i just hope that flicker is behind them otherwise were in trouble.

FTR even if flicker is behind them we could be screwed as i wouldnt trust don to put my lottery numbers on right.

    Right.
We'll not know who's at the club. Aren't they going to Spain for a week at the end of June?

Flitcroft will have studied Lukes form and stats that we don't have access to.

We only remember the very good or the very bad performances.

I obviously meant players that we can A) afford, and B) would come to us, but it's hard to concentrate whilst keeping an eye on a baby monitor, playing Candy Crush and typing on a BFC forum! Agree with your other points completely.

For someone who boycotts the club Mark, you aren't half in the know. Have you bugged the phones?
