Sounds like Cranie might be signing again which would be a massive plus.

That would be brilliant Phil, it would be nice if we could get them all signed back up, fingers crossed mate.

It sounds like he's very close to signing. I think the big plus is that it seems like Cranie's agent feels Barnsley would be a good place for him.

Of all the players, I thought Cranie was one of those least likely to sign but if we can keep him it will be fantastic.

I liked how kept on about a player wanting to be at the club

wonder if that was also a very subtle dig at the Wendies over COG

I'd be over the moon if we could sign Crainie. Second most important signing of this summer behind COG for me.

    Judging by that

    Etuhu all but agreed
Cranie very close (might just be waiting to see if a big club comes in)
Bobby given a poor offer and told to take it or leave it
Steele given a poor offer (in comparison to what he's been on) - Flitcroft didn't seem too bothered whether he did or didn't sign because as he said, a replacement is only around the corner in football. But if he doesn't rate him that highly, I find it strange that he appointed him as team captain.
Cog - seemed resigned to losing (or not gaining) him

    I'd agree with that except

I think the CoG transfer is "being played out in the media" ie the statements being made by either side are for effect. I dont think its dead by any means but clearly he's working on plan B if only to call Wendies bluff.

Signing Cranie would be great based on his performance for us but let's not forget he was involved in a relegation with cov the season before. I don't think he will have loads of clubs chasing him.

If I was Martin Cranie or Kelvin Etuhu listening to that interview I'd feel valued, wanted and, well, loved, such is David Flitcroft's enthusiasm for these two players.

If I was Luke Steele or Bobby Hassell I'd feel pretty much the opposite: undervalued, with the manager indifferent to whether I signed a new contract or not.

I feel it has always been such with regards to Steele, Hassell and Foster compared to the players Keith and David have brought in.

Personally, I think that's a great shame. I believe Luke Steele still has as much to give this football club as any of the signings we've made in the last two years, in my opinion he's still our best player, while Bobby Hassell may not be as pivotal to the team as he once was, but he can still do a very good job as he proved in the last month or so of the season. His dedication to the club over the last 10 years alone should mean he's as valued and respected as much as any other player on the books. I'm not suggesting he should be paid as highly, just that he should be talked about as warmly and in the same glowing terms that are reserved for Keith and David's signings.

But it's up to David Flitcroft which players he values and which he doesn't, it's him that has to get results and it's his neck on the line should we fail. What I do find strange is that if anyone points this out, which is so blindingly obvious, then they are somehow being disrespectful to our manager. I wish our manager all the success in the world, I offer him no disrespect what-so-ever, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to the fact that he rates certain members of our squad above others.

They'll be trying it on as its clear we want him, think the paid Rochdale £350k for him, so if they are looking to make a profit on that, we should be telling them to get proper f.u,ck ed.

Bang on that. Even without listening to the interview.

Keith & Flitcroft didn't want Luke Steele here next season. If they did, they'd have offered him a contract just like they did with Perkins & Craig Davies earlier in the season.

Martin Cranie cocked up last season more than Scott Wiseman.

    Fact.
