Tonights Star:- Davies in Owls link. Uncertainty over Kevin Davies future has sparked speculation about a fresh attempt by Wednesday to land the Bolton striker.
There's been talk of him going there since before the season ended. Not sure he'd be a good move for us as we already have one ageing striker on the books. Think Scotland is more of a goal threat though. No doubting Kevin Davies' quality, just think we have that particular box ticked at the moment.
And... It could effect our situation with O'Grady. He moves further down the pecking order there, and they'll be more desperate to get COG off the wage bill.
I think the OP is linking this potential move for Davies, with the potential move of COG then to us...?
They are good at turning good strikers in bad strikers, so I'm not that bothered about him going there. Another ageing player looking for a last payday
We could end up getting him for a pittance on deadline day if the massives continue to play hardball.
Yaay! Thanks. But seriously, he's a deedar int he, Davies? Makes sense. But I always thought it was the Blunts he supported.
I could be wrong, there is the chance. Might also be Tory politician David Davies, fa chairman David Davies, or another Tory David Davis. Pretty sure it's Kevin Davies though. The first post in the thread sort of gives it away.
Haha, lets consult the fountain of all required knowledge. By which I mean Wikipedia, not hemsworth-tyke.... He was born in canning town (i know, i thought he was welsh, his parents were and they moved back to wales when the war broke out apparently) so I'm guessing west ham! What about Geoffrey Davies? He was in doctor in the house on tv many moons ago. He's from that Leeds though...
