This exhibit to raise awareness of genocide and other attrocities through the years. There are 1 million Bones laid out on the National Mall, was produced by an artist and laid out over night Friday/Saturday morning.
Is America ready to take responsibility for it's own Holocaust, yet? The mass genocide, ethnic cleansing of the Native American people? Does this installation prompt these discussions at all?
It was Mr C. It was one of the reasons they wanted the art work where it is directly outside congress.Basically a protest but a silent one.
in all seriousness, i'll struggle to acknowledge efforts such as these, until America owns up to the global atrocities it commits on a daily basis. but i'm sure it's well intended
I agree with what you're saying here but the whole western world is piggy backing on the many wrongs that America has done. The capitalist/consumerist lifestyle's that so many people enjoy would soon come crashing down if the USA suddenly decided to just be a nation that keeps itself to itself - like Canada or Australia.
