According to chronicle's twitter feed he's having to take a 70% wage cut. Ridiculous if true, would anyone agree to do that in their job?!
It's insulting to the player and the supporters. I think he expected 40-50% for his final year but 70 is downright disrespectful. This is what I find so hypocritical. We are asked to support and value these players, then the club and management treat them like this?
So mad if true, if they didn't want him don't throw his years of service back into his face by insulting the guy, just tell him.
So you get 70% of doing less than you did last year bobby, as you are hardly going to play, do you mind, especially as you hardly played last season, how do you think the people of bsrnsley feel? Besr in mind that many of your 'fans' msg not work, you earn in a 3 month period what they would hope to earn in a year and, for doing their job they don't, for the most part get any 'BONUSES' despite the v fact that they have to do their job and for just train for a few hours a week and have the best health provision available to them because 'my leg hurts, gaffa' Rant over .... apart from these people earn more than I could ever hope to and mostly take the pi** ...
taking the emotion out of it, I personally think it would be totally inappropriate for the Chron to be disclosing that information. I sincerely hope this is not a case of conflicting interests, with matt murray's very public friendship coming into the equation
TomFun....fully agreed. Contracts and salaries at BFC should be kept in-house and confidential. The Chronicle /Matt Murray should know better than to put this sort of info into the public domain. Why is it, that in this modern day, everybody seems to want to know everything about everybody? Call me old-fashioned........I think it's wrong and disrespectful.
But how much could he make in testimonial payments, would be up to us the fans to give him a great top up that he deserves!
Spot on Paul. I am really annoyed at the way we seem to be treating Bobby and Luke. It's wrong and it's taking the shine off the good will the club built up after last season.
