    Thank you X 2

I don't think I'd want to come home had I been there.

Tea at this time of day... how thoroughly awful. Afternoon tea is served at 4pm with cucumber sandwiches, not that you'd know pie muncher !

Cucumber is disgusting. It should be banned.

It's easier finding ancient relics than it is finding a place selling alcohol!

Have you ever been to Rome? Amazing to think that everywhere right beneath your feet and in front of your face is ancient history. I'd have looked in every nook and crany there was but her and the kids wanted to do even more shopping :-(

    I haven't mate, no

If I could choose a site, away from my present work, then it'd definitely be Troy. I'd leave this mortal coil a happy man if I was afforded the opportunity to work there.

Visited Rome just under 2 years ago and was in awe at the place, Florence this March and then Jordan. And squeeze Bath in between that and you have a lot of Roman!!!!

And quite a lot in Turkey and Tunisia, El Jem is even more spectacular than its Roman counterpart

Rome is superb, not just the colosseum and the forum but the Vatican area & St Peters.

Florence for the Uffizi the duomo I could go on and on (and frequently do )

    Yawn, Yawn, Yawn.

    You only go to Iatlia;

    a) You are drawn to Facismo
    b) You like to smoke Dina cigarettes
    c) You want to pick up new pasta ideas

I know the feeling fella! Constantly rave about Rome. To think Nero's former Palace still exists, the Forum, the column of Marcus Aurelias, the incredible collections in the Vatican museum and churches galore... and add to that good beer, good wine, amazing food... pretty hard to beat.

The treasury at Petra by night.... really doesn't do it justice but the day time pics are on the main camera, so you'll have to wait for those! ;-)

Let's face it, most of Rome should be knocked down. It is more than eight years old, after all.

That's not much of a riposte is it. If you don'rt come up with something at least insulting then I'll find a new partner in crime... flounces off...

oh and use ****ing quotes... it's a bugger to follow otherwise !
