Three days ago they created a thread on OwlsTalk saying they were after Jennings, and there were myriad posts saying what a great signing it'd be.


Fast forward to today and he's gash, Wednesday were never interested, and he wouldn't be able to handle their 25,000 gates.


They also still believe that based purely on beating us twice they're the better side.


Yep, still deluded.



Back in the real world, the club who according to Wednesday "can't compete" with them, have just spent 250k on a kid they were after, and are about to sign their best striker for close to half a million pounds. Half a million that will fund their own move for Kevin Davies.


They're becoming as humorous as their Blunt brothers.

I know 2 posters of owlstalk at work, delusion is a topic which comes to mind.

 

Some fans just can't think objectively about a player if their rivals sign them. Don't like Leeds but at least I had a couple of positive comments from Leeds fans about the signing.

According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn were also considering making a £350,000 bid for him in May. I know its only the Daily Mail but it was from the same journalist (Simon Jones) who reported that he was in talks with us on Monday about a £250,000 move. Sounds like we got a good deal and surprised a few teams. Perhaps the vast experience and networking skills of our new chairman helped immensely. Negotiating with major European clubs like Bayern, will be second nature to him.

 

It's the Championship transfer of the summer so far. I can see Dale setting the league on fire, then we lose him in January.

 

300k is the generally understood figure.

It is clear to me that we intend to sell him to Leicester for £2.25m in January, then replace him with Hammill (warming the bench at Wolves) for £250,000. Then they intend to use the £2m profit to build a new Watkins/Manford stand and hire Stuart Pearce as director of football.
