Flicker said he wanted a 20 man squad plus development players

We need a keeper and hopefully Luke will stay
Do we need another striker to have 4 like the end of last season? (i.e. a replacement for Marlon)
I think after that if we can keep Cranie and Cwyka we might only need another centre half and maybe a right back/right wing back?
    ..and I've not counted Bobby!

I would look at the defence mate

we still need a bit of cover there for me.

for me, we still need a strong keeper - for me that's luke, or someone else. not convinced benannick is #1 material. i think we need a 'proper' RWB. we're not gong to replace john stones, but we need someone to balance goldie. assuming we sign cranie, i then think we need another big centre half. jason shackell's a *****, but someone in that mould. finally, i think we need another striker to rotate.

retaining cywka and bobby would be great - if we don't, we'll need some cover in those areas. but more for squad depth than starting XI

Looking at the squad as it stands (with those offered deals currently unsigned), I think we need another striker. Could we go in with Rose playing a bigger part? Not sure we could just yet and if O'Grady got injured (or gets tired in games) we're light of a target man which I think will be crucial to how we set up.

If Steele doesn't sign we'll need a keeper with only Alnwick on the books and Lukas offered a monthly deal.

Left back (or LWB) we've Golbourne, Kennedy, McNulty and even RNL maybe. The right should be ok if we can bring Jones through with Wiseman and even O'Brien able to fill in for a short emergency.

Defensive central midfield we're more than sorted.

I'd say we're at 15 squad wise now (including RNL as he's played quite a bit now and starting to look good).

Centre of defence we're really light. I can see us wanting 2 centre backs. And I wouldn't be surprised if we looked for a bit more creativity right or centre.

At least 1 centre half, a striker, maybe a goalkeeper depending on Steele's decision, possibly a right sided defender/wing back.

CBs x 2, even if Cranie signs. Another striker. Another RB/RM would be good.

Well I for one hope Bobby signs

even if he is just a squad player, he is a great example for the younger players. I hope he stays and even goes onto our coaching staff. He deserves a testimonial too in any case.

We need.....probably another left footer.........because to my knowledge we have only Golbourne and Jennings available down that side.

We need a tall commanding goalkeeper that dominates his own area and can pass the ball to players in a red shirt

We need........one maybe two (1 + spare) tall commanding centre backs that are able to shout a lot.......but that's nowt new cos we have needed them for the last 3 or 4 seasons

We need at least another striker ..........Higdon would be good

    For me

Another central defender (hopefully Cranie re signs as well), another goalkeeper if Luke Steele doesn't re sign and a pacey striker.

Tom Kennedy & Reuben Noble-Lazarus are left footed and both played at left wing back and left back for us last season. Jim McNulty is also left footed and has played at left back for the team.

Well that just shows your knowledge.

Do you think Kennedy RNL McNulty and Jennings are right footed?

Flicker said RNL will be trained as a left wing back. He showed he is more than capable of playing there after a good performance against Hull. So if we are playing 3-2-3-2 (wingbacks) we will have Golbourne or RNL. For our 4-4-2 formation, we will have Golbourne/Kennedy-Jennings/Mellis. I think the left is sorted, but its only my opinion.

I also think Flicker will make Ben Ainwick no.1 and sign a young understudy on a fraction of Steele's wages. This will then enable him to bring in a quality centre back, a flexible right back/right wing back, and another striker.

The Higdon/Stead deals seemed to be become dead as the O'Grady deal got closer. Maybe Flicker is interested in a pacey striker now - O'Grady/Scotland, Dagnall/new quick striker.

We'll definetely need a new goalkeeper if steele leave. A new winger if cywka leaves. 3 centre backs if cranie and hassell leave. 1 new target man and one pacey striker. Oh and a right/wing back

I want see another RB, CB & Striker. Then if any of Hassell, Cwyka, Steele & Cranie don't sign I'd like to see replacements for them.

I would have thought bringing in Jennings did that because it's not like he's replaced anyone we released.
