But on Football Manager 2013 I was managing tarn and we were approaching the deadline for loans, and we were 18th int table. Daggers had amazingly gone 14 games without a goal after starting the season with 6 in 6. COG was suspended for 3 games and had sumat like 5 goals in 30 games or whatever. Scotland was out for the rest of the year with a dodgy hip. And I had loaned Rose to Rochdale without a recall option.
Anyway, I was offered Lee Barnard on loan from Soton, but they wanted 10k a month and 50% of his 6k a week wages. Which we couldn't afford - I blew my remaining 4k wage budget getting Mellis to sign a 3 year extension (on 7k a week the greedy get).
I asked the board for extra coin and was told no. So I whinged about Daggers in the press hoping it'd give him a kick up the arse.
Anyway, I was then informed of the board cashing in on an Adam Hammill sell on clause. It worked out at 120k and thus meant Wolves would get a full fee if they sold him (they didn't as it happens, he was released which made no sense).
Which got me wondering if we did in reality negotiate a clause for him and have we made a few bob this week?
    .
As for my season, I got Barnard in and he did his hamstring in a reserve game which was meant to get him up to speed.
But Daggers struck up a great partnership with Rhys Oates until COG came back and we finished 20th.
I then sold Mellis for 3 million and haven't played it for ages since. Real life and employment to blame.
