ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Why cant people face the fact he's gone and he wont be coming back here
Decent interview from him after the U19's game http://www.thefa.com/england/mens-u20s/News/2013/john-stones-chile-reaction-270613.aspx
Doubt it Id be very surprised if he isnt at least on the Everton bench next season, particularly with Martinez already being aware of him.
Without wanting to re-open a particular can of worms here, we are talking about a player who left us to be relegated. He put his own interests before that of BFC and the greater good of the town. More to the point, his home town. Which is fair enough, but why would anyone want someone like that back at the club? Let Stones have his glittering career, good luck to him.
It does look to be just one message that has been re-tweeted lots of times. However, am I the only one that does not see this as such an outlandish idea. It makes a lot of sense.
I think it would upset the balance of the team. We are now a set of grafters and the team has a great synergy. And the results were better without him (but granted the two may not be linked). Not sure if re-introducing him would actually benefit our cause.
Like. Would be seriously unhappy if he returned. Wiseman's upped his game and I'd rather not spend a year developing one of Everton's players for them, just to make the deal they got a bigger bargain.
Bit harsh - He signed a long contract so the club were guaranteed a fee if he moved on, Another club came in and met Barnsleys valuation of him and offered him the chance to play in the prem on a much better salary. Given the way that football clubs reward loyalty these days (cf Foster for example) he would have been pretty dumb to stay. Its a pointless discussion because its not going to happen but if he was loaned back to us I would be happy for him to come back.
I don't really think there is any chance of him coming back as Everton will want to take a proper look in pre season etc. However, to say that we shouldn't take him back if the opportunity arose is madness. The lad just oozes class, can play in a number of positions and can only have benefitted from being around premiership players for the last 6 months. Lots of people have already highlighted the need for a centre back or rwb and he more than adequately fits the bill in both positions.
