No your not a bad person at all ! But please remember Murray was a raw 17 ? Year old when he was goaded into a very ill advised comment. I like him because he's a winner. I also like nadal and dokov.. Er Novak ... I'm not keen on federer but that defeats my argument !
The sooner he gets knocked out the sooner the cringeworthy ba.stards on centre court can f.uck off back under the stones they came from.
Andy Murray has never worn a T-Shirt (or shirt, or sweat shirt or any other item of clothing) with ABE on it (or A.B.E. or Anyone but England or anything of the sort). It's an urban myth. It never happened. This is the story of exactly what happened by Des Kelly, the journalist who did the interview: Let me return to the topic of Andy Murray and this whole anti-English argument for what I truly hope is the last time - although I doubt it. Some of the nonsensical criticism Britain's No 1 has received is laced with such misplaced venom and outrage that it makes me despair. So, for the hard of thinking, let me state here that: I did the interview with Andy Murray and Tim Henman a couple of years back where Murray talked about 'supporting whoever England were playing against'. It was a clearly a sarcastic remark. He was responding to teasing from your columnist about Scotland's absence from the 2006 World Cup and derisive laughter from the mischievous Henman. It was reported in that context in this newspaper at the time and the exchange was run as a transcript. A couple of days later a red-top got excited about the comments, lifted a couple of them into a 'story' that took on a life of its own and from there the truth was lost. It is astonishing how this has run and run. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ot...8217-s-winner-taking-defeat-like-man-son.html
What is more astonishing are the anti murray postings placed on here by the knuckle draggers - they really believe it
strange how its always sarcastic or tongue in cheek when they realise oops dropped one there I should nt have said that, so just for you IT WAS A TONGUE IN CHEEK REMARK I DIDNT MEAN IT, I WAS BEING SARCASTIC, just the same as good old andy, wuhoo lets all cheer for me now
so does tim henmam who was also involved in the interview, murrays a jock and we're the auld enemy, I can't blame him for saying it, I would expect a jock to say it, but hes the auld enemy to a lot of englishmen, so; anybody but murray
I'm quarter Scottish. Is a quarter of me the enemy? And is my dad half enemy? What about Jim O'Brien, all enemy?
maybe some welding gloves to stop you typing wouldn't go amiss you tedious feckwit (sarcastic comment alert...maybe)
funny you say that , I have a pair of welding gloves to use for the bbq - really good. Welders eh , they are funny
Football - I support England first and foremost, but i also like to see Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland, Rep Ireland do well. I also support Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Celtic etc when they play in the Europe. Tennis - When Wimbledon is on (the only time i watch tennis), I cheer on Andy Murray because he is British, its a simple as that really. He was born in Scotland, which is a stunning country, good on him. People need to smoke the peace pipe and show some love.
totally agree, my grandmothers 2nd language was English her 1st being welsh ( is it called gog welsh from the north wales area) my fraternal grandfather was southern irish he even had to drop the "O" from bourke to join the british army ( but I think he would have been born british due to partitian)and I was born in Doncaster which i'm not sure about but is that still technically part of Scotland ? ( treaty of durham hooha from a few years ago) it all goes back to the erm so called tongue in cheek remarks made by murray that's why I don't support him. I even think if it was celtic v arsenal/Chelsea I maybe a closet jock.
