Would like to see a natural RWB and another striker.

I`d be quite happy to start the season with what we have at the moment.

I think Jennings will be a starter. Otherwise I agree.

I hope we can do better than Wiseman at RB. We need another striker. Other than that, shaping up well.

To be honest I think Wiseman is a natural Wing back. Good going forward and lots of pace. So I would be more than happy to see Wiseman first choice.

I`d go with that against Wigan but with Scotland alongside O`Grady for that formation. If all fit and chomping at the bit like.

It'll either be O'Brien or Hassell on the bench. But other than Hassell, who else have we got as defensive cover?
Looking towards my bench, I've got a goalkeeper, all round defender, midfielder, winger and a striker. All positions covered in other words. Unless we keep Bobby in and swap Jimbo for Jenno? Pace (Dale) or Graft (Jim)?
And I can't see Dawson, Scotland or Alnwick being dropped altogether.

They could go with a 442 and slot o,brien at RB, if there's a injury or change of tactics

Jennings as a Wing back ala Nicky Eaden. He can play there.

    Steele

    New Def Cranie Nyatanga
    Wiseman Golbourne

    Etuhu Dawson/Perks

    Mellis

    O'Grady New CF

New defender needs to be able to cover at right back, or be an out and out right back if Flitcroft wants Wiseman at CB (I don't). Sincerely hope they can convince Everton to give us Stones back because he fits both roles.

New forward needs to be quick and capable of scoring 15 goals.

Do both of those and we're capable of going a long long way.

Despite all that I'm happy with what we have, and think we'll do OK anyway. Decent depth to the squad already, but 2 more would really prepare us well.

Jennings is more of a skillful, creative, left winger/attacking mid/striker type.

I can see where you are coming from though, because Steele/Ainwick can also play right wing-back.

Trouble is we may have to shoehorn one or two players into unusual roles like we did last year and it`s not unknown for a leftie playing on the right and coming inside on his left foot.

Maybe Jennings will be in the hole and Mellis wide right seems like Flicker is keen on Wiseman central at the back.

Who knows just hope he plays form players and not favourites.
