Maybe just me, but when I heard the interview and the question put to Flicker he does seem to change the tone. Doesn't appear too happy with it.

Flicker even said we wouldn't be signing Chris O'G at one point. If that's his way, that's fine with me. Johnson has racked up 440+ career games despite apparent injury case.

Only played 14 games in the past 2 years.

I am probably being pessimistic about his injury proneness because i think he is an unrealistic target, just from a wages point of view. I rate him as a player, he fits the bill in terms of work ethic and would score goals in the Championship. A fully fit Johnson and O'Grady (little and large) upfront, has the potential to be an outstanding partnership.

Who knows, maybe he wouldn't be an unrealistic target

Just think it's strange that we'd be able to take him if he's got a year left on his QPR contract...surely he's getting far more there than we could reasonably offer him.

I dare say since Mansford came in we are probably offering bigger wages than previously but not by a massive amount, what would he be on at QPR? Got to be at least £10,000 given that he was an established Premier League player at Fulham before he went there and I wouldn't say he was worth the gamble of a longer contract here.

That aside, goal record is a bit hard to judge, awesome at Palace although a lot younger, less than 1 in 6 at Fulham but in a side that is generally in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Worth a gamble? No idea but we could do a lot worse?

"Special human being" who is going to run through walls for the manager? Doubt it given he probably realises his future is no higher than the Championship, although I would have said the same about Jason Scotland and he's been excellent.

Wouldn't say his injuries have been any more than the average professional footballer but for whatever reason he hasn't played much for QPR - I suspect because they were deep in sh*t for most of the PL season they didn't want to rely on him to score the goals to keep them up. As it turned out I doubt they would have done any worse with him in the side.

He was reported to be on £40,000 a week at Fulham. Signed for QPR on a 2 year deal at a time when they were paying ridiculous wages. Harry Redknapp came out in the media and said he couldn't believe how much some of the players were earning at the club (those signed by Mark Hughes). I would imagine he wants him off the wage bill, amongst other players.

He hasn't played much for QPR because he has been out with a cruciate knee ligament injury. I think they signed him in June and he got ruled out for the season in September.

    He's quote in todays media

as saying he owes it to QPR to help them back into the Prem as loyalty for them standing by him whilst injured. So unless Harry is desperate to get rid, I cannot see it happening, which is a shame cos I can see him getting 20-25 goals easily if fully fit.

It would have been a brilliant signing for us....but if he's decided to stay with QPR then.....he's too injury prone anyway,
